Tasting Notes

Smooth and approachable with a long-lasting finish of orange peel, coriander and spice. French oak cigar barrels impart silkier flavor tannins and mellowing characteristics to Heaven’s Door Rye Whiskey, balancing out the grain’s inherent spice. Unlike traditional bourbon barrels, Heaven’s Door’s cigar barrels are not charred, allowing the naturally occurring flavors of air dried oak to shine.

Heaven’s Door Rosemary Smoked Old Fashioned

Ingredients

2 oz Heaven’s Door Straight Rye

1⁄3 oz Demerara Simple Syrup

3 Dashes Angostura Bitters

2 Dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters

Instructions

Stir all ingredients and Strain into a rocks glass over a large ice cube. Garnish with a thinly sliced orange peel or swath. You may optionally infuse with smoke using your preferred smoking tool.
